
Pastor Torrance D. Thomas
Pastor Torrance D. Thomas HAS A TREMENDOUS passion for God’s Word coupled with a
love for God’s people. He has dedicated himself to be a life-giving leader and a servant leader
to God’s people. His mission in life is to “Shape lives and mold minds according to the will of
God.”
Torrance D. Thomas was born December 1975 and is a native of Athens-Clarke County, GA.
He’s the proud and loving son of Doris Thomas and Johnny Wallace. At the age of 8 years old
he accepted Christ and became a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, where he has
served faithfully in the youth choir, as a deacon and minister under the leadership of Pastor
Willie R. Flint.
He is the proud father of one daughter, D’Ara Alycia Thomas.
Torrance graduated from the Clarke Central High School May 1994. He then continued his
education at the Midlands Technical College in West Columbia, South Carolina in Business
Administration. He returned home and started his career at Eaton Corporation where he
worked for 10 years. In February of 2010 he advanced his career at Hitachi Automotive
Systems Americas, Inc. where he is currently working.
Torrance was ordained to the office of Deacon at Macedonia in 1998. August 11, 2011, he
received his call to ministry from the Lord and preached his initial sermon on September 17,
2011. He became an ordained minister on March 30, 2014. To further enhance his knowledge
of the Gospel he attended the Gwinnett Hall Bible College in Biblical Education from 2015-
2018. From March 2020 to March 2021 he has served passionately as interim pastor until he
received the call to be the new pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church.
God has overwhelmed the Life of Torrance with many blessings and wonderful moments; but
being Chosen to oversee God’s people has been one of his greatest life achievements.
